Enigmatic South-London quartet Another Sky have release their latest offering with single ‘Chillers’ via renowned label-home, Fiction Records.
Having set a precedent with the release of their debut EP ‘Forget Yourself’ earlier this year and recent single ‘Avalanche’, Another Sky have captivated media and fans alike with their unbridled cinematic sonics, anchored by political poignancy and lead singer Catrin Vincent’s astonishing, otherworldly vocals. New single ‘Chillers’, follows suit.
A succinct 2:32, ‘Chillers’ hints to a classic pop sensibility, delivering social commentary with tongue-in-cheek lyrics and dressed with an insatiable melodic hook.
Listen to ‘Chillers’ by Another Sky on the official Premier League Music Playlist on Spotify.
It’s a woozy, sarcastic pop song, confronting the complacency often accompanied by wealth. “Why worry ‘bout the weather or nuclear weapons when they eat for free on a black card at Nandos?” Catrin asks.
Another Sky have continued to affirm their musical prowess this year, headlining St. Pancras Old Church and with a sold-out residency at the Dalston’s Servants Jazz Quarters this summer. Witnessing the band live impelled notable new-band champion Huw Stephens to offer the band his final Maida Vale session for BBC Radio 1.
The band announce their biggest show to-date last week; a highly-anticipated headline show at London’s Electrowerkz on November 12, culminating a tour supporting Laurel.
Another Sky are thrillingly conscientious and evocative artists, offering a fresh point to the conversation for 2018 and furthermore.
