Anteros release new track ‘Love’, the second off their new Double A-side with ‘Bonnie’ – and you can listen to it now on the Shoot Music – New Releases Playlist.
Produced by Charlie Andrew (Alt-J, Marika Hackman, Bloc Party), ‘Love’ – which is also a new addition to the Fantasy Premier League and Soccer AM: New Music playlists – veers left of the effervescent pop vibe of ‘Bonnie’ into edgier territory, channeling Blondie and The Cardigans with its raucous guitar riff and sensual vocal delivery.
‘Love’ – of which frontwoman Laura Hayden says: “Love is self explanatory, really, in the general sense of the word. It’s about putting LOVE first: before race, before fear, before hate, before greed,” – follows ‘Bonnie’ in its intent to bring people together and emanate positivity in the face of widespread unrest and division.
The Double A-side release rounds off a sensational year for the London four-piece, garnering huge support on air from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and Radio X’s John Kennedy.
This year, Anteros have played sold out shows alongside Two Door Cinema Club, Sundara Karma and Blaenavon, made a splash on the pages of NME, Sunday Times Culture and Vogue and begun work on their debut album, due for release next year.
Anteros are Laura Hayden – vocals, Joshua Rumble – bass, Jackson Couzens – guitar and Harry Balazs – drums.
