At a pivotal time when grime is being described as the punk movement of a generation, Bossman Birdie explodes with the bold ‘Walk The Walk’, produced by the Grime scene’s front man and Mercury award prize winner Skepta.
Bossman reinforces his position as the genre’s rising star, asserting “they can’t talk the talk like me”, with Skepta adding his distinctive energy to the track. Listen to ‘Walk The Walk’ now on the Shoot New Release Sport Playlist!
Bossman Birdie has steadily garnered a reputation as a skilled lyricist and built deep-rooted relationships with Grime’s leaders, making music from the age of 15 with Skepta, JME, Big H, and President T.
Having featured on the ‘German Whip Remix,’ and original track ‘Wristbands’, featuring Skepta as well as Meridian Dan, last year Birdie dropped ‘My Yard,’ a massive statement of intent for the Londoner – defined as “the next big record from the Grime scene” by Mistajam.
Bossman Birdie was born in Birmingham, United Kingdom and moved to North London when he was 4 years old. At the age of 15, Birdie developed a love for music and made connections within the Grime scene. After featuring on the Mike Skinner song ‘Pranging Out’ alongside Wretch 32, Skepta, Tinchy Stryder, Development, Ghetts and Frisco, Birdie made his mark and began making music with credible artists.
A few years later, the talented lyricist began performing at shows and in 2014 toured with Meridian Dan. The tour consisted of him flying out of the country to places like Ibiza and attending festivals around the UK.
Birdie then released his track ‘Wristbands’. The song gained nearly half a million views on YouTube and had support from Radio 1xtra, Capital Xtra and Kiss FM.
