Cabbage reveal their new single ‘Arms Of Pleonexia’, which was premiered on Radio 1 by Huw Stephens and taken from the debut album ‘Nihilistic Glamour Shots’ – and you can listen to it now on the Shoot Music – New Releases Playlist.
Produced by James Skelly and Rich Turvey (Blossoms, The Coral, She Drew The Gun) at Parr Street Studios in Liverpool, ‘Nihilistic Glamour Shots’ will be released March 30 on Infectious Music.
‘Arms Of Pleonexia’ – which is also a new addition to the Fantasy Premier League and Soccer AM: New Music playlists – is joined by the equally frenetic opening salvo of ‘Preach To The Converted’, ‘Molotov Alcopop’, swampy blues of ‘Perdurabo’s‘, wild funk of ‘Exhibit A’, and the devastating seven-minute finale ‘Subhuman 2.0’.
There’s been a weight of fevered expectation around a full Cabbage album ever since their startling debut EP ‘Le Chou’ arrived at the start of 2016. Since then, the Manchester band have released 36 songs, played well over 200 gigs – and been at the centre of two media storms.
Supported by The Rhythm Method, Cabbage head out on tour later this month and will embark on more dates in April following the release of the album with support from She Drew The Gun.
Additionally, on May 19, the band will curate ‘Glamour At Thee Ritz’ at Manchester’s O2 Ritz. Starting at 5pm and headlined by the band, the event across 2 rooms will feature PINS, The Blinders, Rhythm Method, Witch Fever, Lady Bird, Sports Team and more.
Cabbage, who formed in Mossley in November 2015, are Lee Broadbent (co-vocalist), Eoghan Clifford (guitar), Joe Martin (co-vocalist), Steve Evans (bassist) and Asa Morley (drummer).
