Callum Beattie Reveals The ‘Man Behind The Sun’

Callum Beattie has unveiled his second single ‘Man Behind The Sun’ through 3 Beat / Universal Music – and it’s available to listen to now on the Shoot Music – New Releases Playlist.

Following the release of his debut EP ‘We Are Stars’, Beattie’s cracked vocal tones take the lead on his newest track. ‘Man Behind The Sun’ is a true testament to the Edinburgh born singer-songwriter’s extraordinary ability to build panoramic genre-melding numbers. With heartwarming driving guitars, uplifting odes and a hook laden chorus, it has all the makings of a future festival anthem.

With over 2 million Spotify streams for his debut EP ‘We Are Stars’, Beattie continues to go from strength to strength. Having recently played Glastonbury and The Great Escape Festival, he is currently preparing for a busy summer of more live performances (British Summer Time, V Festival and Boardmasters Festival), captivating audiences across the UK.

Beattie is currently putting together his first studio album, working hard in the studio with producer Ken Nelson (Coldplay, Paolo Nutini) and Cam Blackwood (George Ezra, London Grammar). A musician with a broad palette, Beattie takes inspiration from the likes of Churches, Biffy Clyro, Sia and Kings Of Leon.

Callum Beattie spent his formative years learning his craft, playing any gig he could blag in the none-too-salubrious pubs of Edinburgh. Having come up the long way, the proud Scot launches into the public consciousness ready formed with a formidable array of brutally honest songs that are sometimes euphoric, sometimes reflective but always packed to the brim with arena sized hooks.

With an extensive live schedule planned for the rest of this year, and a string of sold-out Scottish dates already under his belt, Callum Beattie is ready to establish himself as one of the names to watch in 2017.
