Online sensation Celina has signed a record deal with Virgin EMI, and her first release will be the anthem in support of the Indian national cricket team ‘We Are One’, and features their official fan club, the Bharat Army.
The Australian 16-year-old with Indian heritage started singing at very young age, performing High School Musical inspired numbers for her friends and family while at pre-school.
From there she graduated to sharing covers on TikTok as a teenager and over time amassed over 40 thousand followers worldwide on the platform. Since then her profile has been growing and growing, to the point where she’s now performed with the singer Yashua during his support slot for CNCO in Miami in front of 30,000 people and has been named a Future Sounds artist by BBC Asian Network, all before she’s even dropped her first single.

With a diverse group of influences (everyone from Freddie Mercury and Aretha Franklin to Rihanna), Celina is setting out to fuse western pop with Indian influences as she starts to write her own material.
Aside from music, Celina’s other big passion is cricket (she actually became involved in music after international cricketer, Chris Gayle posted a video of her singing on his Instagram), which is what makes ‘We Are One (feat. Bharat Army)’ the perfect introduction to her sound. The song is being used as the official anthem for the Bharat Army at the Cricket World Cup, and feature backing vocals from the team’s official fan club.
“This year is the 20th anniversary of the Bharat Army, the official supporter’s group for the fans of Team India” explains Rakesh Patel, the Bharat Army founder. “With the Cricket World Cup also taking place in the UK, we wanted to bring something unique for our fans from around the world. The Bharat Army are known for their passion and love of music, what better idea than to do an anthem that all our fans could go crazy to.
“We had numerous approaches from brands and artists to collaborate with us on this, however the opportunity to tie up and give a platform to Celina, one of the most talented young artists coming from an Indian heritage, was something we as Team India fans wanted to get behind.
“We love the song and we can’t wait to sing and dance to it with passion in the stands, hopefully pushing India all the way to victory.”
