The Golden State Warriors have firmly established themselves as the dominant force in the NBA. Though critics were quick to point out a weakened offence with an absent Kevin Durant (due to his Feb. 28 knee injury against the Washington Wizards but now playing limited minutes), and even quicker to point out a loss of form for superstar Stephen Curry (Steph went on to average over 25 point per game, with numbers similar to his 2014-15 MVP season), the Warriors have claimed the top spot in the west, currently 5 games ahead of closest contender the San Antonio Spurs.
The Warriors have reached eight NBA Finals, winning four NBA championships, most recently in 2015 when they defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers. Golden State’s four NBA championships are the fifth most in history. Golden State holds the NBA record for best regular season with 73–9 and most combined wins in a season (regular season and postseason) with 88 wins.
One person who has been able to see the team triumph over the various setbacks in the 2016/17 season, is the Warriors’ in-house DJ who hails from Oakland, California.
DJ D Sharp has been with the team full time since 2012 — three years after Stephen Curry was drafted — and has come to admire the superstar and his prolific teammates. He has previously been a tour DJ for Lauryn Hill, Kelly Rowland, Flipsyde, and Peeping Tom, and knows what the the team – and the fans – want.
D Sharp recently took to Tidal to share the official Golden State Warriors warm-up playlist. Featuring hits from Kanye West, A Tribe Called Quest, Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Souls Of Mischief.
