Django Django follow ‘Tic Tac Toe’ with ‘In Your Beat’


The return of Django Django continues to gather momentum with ‘In Your Beat‘, the latest track from their third album ‘Marble Skies’, released January 26 – and you can listen to it now on the Shoot Music – New Releases Playlist.

Tic Tac Toe’ – the first track to be taken from the album – was instantly added to the A-list at BBC Radio 6 Music and received strong support at the station courtesy of Radcliffe & Maconie, Shaun Keaveny, Lauren Laverne and Marc Riley, plus Radio 2 airplay from Jo Whiley and Zoe Ball. It also went straight to #1 on the speciality radio chart in the USA.

In addition to the radio play, Django Django’s media coverage for ‘Tic Tac Toe’ has included a flurry of attention from NME, DIY, Clash, Pitchfork, Dork and more – including Dummy, who premiered the track’s ‘Where’s The Rides?’ remix. In addition, the track hit a variety of Spotify playlists including the New Indie Mix, the BBC 6 Music Playlist and the Domino Sound System.

Now Django Django continue to build towards the release of ‘Marble Skies’ by sharing ‘In Your Beat’ (also a new addition to Fantasy Premier League and Soccer AM: New Music –, which embraces their dance-orientated side. Opening with pitch-shifted vintage synth sounds, it evolves into an 80s tinged electro-pop banger. Joyously upbeat with an ominous undercurrent, it has a vibrant and innovative energy.

After completing a short run of small festival dates in Scotland and France, Django Django will launch the album with two special in-store performances and signing sessions at Rough Trade. They’ll visit the Bristol venue on January 24 before heading to Rough Trade East on January 26.

They will appear at Ireland’s Other Voices festival on December 3 before embarking upon the headline tour in support of ‘Marble Skies’ which includes a London date at the capital’s newest and most exciting venue The Printworks.
