EA Sports have once again made the dream of a number of football mad artists come true by revealing the FIFA 18 Soundtrack.
Sure to be the tracks which stick in gamers’ heads over the next 12 months, the playlist – available now on Spotify – contains artists such as Run The Jewels, Tom Grennan, alt-J, The Amazons, Stormzy, Avelino and Vessels.
As usual EA Sports have picked a diverse (representing a dozen countries) and exciting squad of artists for this season’s edition of the world’s favourite football console game as they score with a soundtrack that truly reflects the sport across the globe.
The revealing of the soundtrack has become as big of a deal to artists as the player ratings is to the players, with many tracks featured on previous features becoming the first step on the road to stardom for many bands and singer/songwriters.
In-game, the return of Alex Hunter in The Journey also features an original score by Junkie XL. Known for his sbig-screen hits like Mad Max: Fury Road, Divergent, Deadpool, and Wonder Woman, his ‘The Journey: Hunter Returns’ is absolutely up there with these cinematic triumphs.
The Journey also features tracks by Brazilian artists Leo Justi and Karol Conka, Colombia’s Bomba Estero and Systema Solar, American rock band Weezer to reflect the wonderkid’s tour of the football world.
As well as the tunes to fuel those late night FIFA sessions, a host of kits specially-designed by artists such as Glass Animals, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Bloc Party, Capital Cities, Saint Motel, Zhu, and Lemaire are available to those who pre-order the game.
FIFA 18, whose cover-star is none other than Real Madrid and Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo – is out on September 29 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and FIFA Ultimate Team.
