Editors announce ‘Darkness At The Door’ – the next single to be taken from their critically acclaimed Top 10 album ‘Violence’ – and you can listen to it now on the Fantasy Premier League Playlist.
‘Darkness At The Door’ sees Editors continue to push the sound and expectations of the band with a confident, emotionally charged anthem. With its bright, swelling chords, and driving drums, the track breaks new territory for Editors.
‘Violence’ is the sixth album from Editors, and follows 2015’s acclaimed top-5 ‘In Dream’. It is produced by Leo Abrahams (Wild Beasts, Florence & The Machine, Frightened Rabbit) and Editors with additional production from Benjamin John Power (Blanck Mass, Fuck Buttons) and mixed by Cenzo Townshend, except ‘Hallelujah (So Low)’ mixed by Alan Moulder.
Editors Autumn tour dates – on sale now and featuring a headline show at Brixton Academy – will follow a busy summer of live shows, which sees them support The Cure at their huge BST Hyde Park show on July 7, play Manchester’s Neighbourhood Festival on May 27 and headline the Werchter Classic on July 14.
Editors are Editors – Tom Smith (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Russell Leech (bass guitar, synthesizer, backing vocals), Edward Lay (drums, percussion, backing vocals), Justin Lockey (lead guitar) and Elliott Williams (keys, synthesizers, guitars, and backing vocals).
