Premier League veterans Everton are currently preparing for their ‘Lockdown Sessions’, which are taking place this Friday, May 22, and will be held in aid of the club’s very own Blue Family charity.
The sessions are to be broadcast across Everton’s official social media channels including Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram. The event will see live performances from a plethora of Evertonians, including the Wombats, DMAs, She Drew The Gun, and many more. You can see the full line up on the poster below.
All of the tracks have been recorded in lockdown since the pandemic began, and aim to keep spirits high in the sadly football-less and live music-less world we currently inhabit. In anticipation of the online concert, Everton has sorted tracks by those that will feature on to a Spotify playlist, which you can listen to HERE.
In addition to the ‘Lockdown Sessions’, the Toffees have unleashed their brand new official playlist on Spotify. You can listen to songs from every act that is taking part in the sessions on the playlist, which is embedded below.
The playlist features a vast array of tunes from artists loyal to the Toffees, including DMA’s, Bill-Ryder Jones, Zuzu and Circa Waves. Alongside the diehards, tracks feature from such legendary acts as The Beatles and Bob Marley. The playlist is to be updated weekly with only the finest and freshest of tunes to soundtrack future sunny Saturdays at Goodison Park.
The Blue Family is the clubs campaign to reach out to and engage with vulnerable, at-risk and isolated fans and members of the Everton community during context the current coronavirus pandemic. You can make a donation to the Family using the following link: https://www.evertonfc.com/bluefamily.
