FA Cup: New music scores on quarter-finals playlist


It’s Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals weekend and a whole host of new tracks have landed on the new look #CupMusic playlist to soundtrack the battle to book a spot in a Wembley semi-final.

The latest releases by Not3s, Avelino, Wiley, Plan B, Afro B, Tom Grennan and many more support the world’s most famous domestic cup competition, which also boasts the best music policy.

These latest additions sit alongside favourites from the previous rounds and are led by Will Henry Monk‘sAbide With Me‘ – the hymn traditionally performed prior to every FA Cup Final.

Refreshed after each round to give you, the fans, new tracks to mark every magical goal and moment – #CupMusic is available to listen to on both Spotify and Deezer streaming platforms.

Additionally, seven artists – Afro B, Avelino, Louis Berry, Mabel, Naira Marley, Not3s, Tom Grennan – have made their top picks – selecting five songs which will soundtrack their FA Cup Sixth Round weekends. See more on their social media channels.

The last-eight gets underway on March 17 with Swansea City hosting eight-time winners Tottenham Hotspur, while Brighton & Hove Albion travel to 12-time victors Manchester United in a repeat of the 1983 final.

On March 18, giant-killers and 2013 winners Wigan Athletic will be aiming to knock out a fourth top-flight side when they play Southampton, while Leicester City host seven-time winners Chelsea.

This season – in which the final takes place on May 19 – marks the 137th edition of the competition, which started in the 1871/72 season.

In 2017, Arsenal lifted the trophy a record 13th time, and for the third occasion in the past four years, after defeating Chelsea 2-1.
