The Foxes are currently in their fourth consecutive season in the Premier League, following their promotion from the Championship in 2013-14 and subsequent famous top tier triumph in 2015-16. The Foxes have taken the momentum from their title win and established themselves as Premier League regulars, putting an end a turbulent few seasons which saw them relegated to the third tier of English Football for the first time in their history.
Leicester City FC were formed as Leicester Fosse FC in 1894. The Foxes moved to their historic Filbert Street ground in 1891 followed a 7-year spell in which they played at five different locations around the City. By the time their move to the Filbert came around, they had been renamed Leicester City, and settled in to the stadium for a 111 year spell which saw them reach four FA Cup finals (three of which were in the 1960s) and finish runners-up in the first tier of English football during the 1928-29 season.
