Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet, has released ‘Only Human’ via Ministry of Sound under his rare KH moniker.
It comes after a long hot summer of hype building around a mysterious club track sampling Nelly Furtado‘s ‘Afraid’.
Premiered via Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 as her Hottest Record, ‘Only Human’ is an addictive, polyrhythmic earworm that draws the listener in through its chopped and instantly recognizable vocal chant.

Speaking on the track, Kieran says, “The Nelly Furtado track was playing in the kitchen and I heard that chanting vocal at the end and it just came into my head to use that bit to make a track to DJ with.
“I made it that day and then soon after I played it at Rainbow Disco Club in Japan and it was big so I sent it to Ben UFO. He played it a bunch, said it was big too and the track ID people were going crazy.
I sent it to Peggy Gou, Joy O and Midland and we were all playing it out and everyone was hyped at the festivals and sending me mad videos. After I got sent an Instagram video with the crowd at Dekmantel Festival I decided I should try and release it, so I called Ministry of Sound to help make that happen.”
Rarely used (only twice before), KH is the alias when he makes tracks to DJ with. This is the first since 2017 and is set to be one of the biggest tracks of the year so far.
