Following an eventful 2016, the multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter, Georgia has returned to kick-off the New Year with an inspiring new track, ‘Feel It’ which has just been added to our Shoot Matchday Sport Stadium Playlist. Stream it below!

Written with the intention to inspire a new generation of musicians to get up and play, Georgia says of ‘Feel It’:

“‘Feel It’ is about when our mind and bodies are consumed by a powerful feeling, and the sense of nobody or anything being able to a/effect or ‘shatter’ it… I think in turn we managed to capture a real universal message, that whoever you are or wherever you’re from, we all share rhythm and heightened feelings, and if you are a female drummer, DON’T BE SCARED TO EXPRESS YOURSELF, PICK UP YOUR STICKS AND PLAY!”

Raised in a deeply musical household, Georgia first began to play the drums as a child before gradually progressing into a musician of prodigious ability and range by the time she reached her late teens. Combining music study at London’s SOAS with a stint working on the counter at Rough Trade, Georgia quickly made a lot of very natural musical connections – being invited to play with DIY innovators such as Kwes and Kate Tempest among others.

Fresh from a European tour with The Kills plus sharing a bill with Florence & The Machine and Kendrick Lamar at the Barclaycard BST Hyde Park Festival, Georgia has announced that she will be heading out on tour with The Flaming Lips across Europe this January, including her biggest UK show to date at London’s O2 Brixton Academy.
