English-Italian singer Jack Savoretti spoke to Goal.com about how he ended up in the shower with Italy and Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero, what’s influenced the sound of his new album and more as part of the leading football website’s Goal Playlist series on YouTube.

The 35-year-old also spoke about his love for Serie A side Genoa. The acoustic singer-songwriter was at the Rossoblù’s infamous European Cup win over Liverpool in 1992 and filmed the video for his 2015 single ‘Home’ at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris before the  1-0 win over Juventus.

With two UK Top 10 charting albums under his belt in the last four years, Jack Savoretti returns on March 15 with a stunning new album Singing to Strangers on BMG Records.

Recorded in Rome at Ennio Morricone’s studio this long, hot summer, the 12 track album features collaborations with musical icon Bob Dylan on ‘Touchy Situation’ and pop legend Kylie Minogue on a live version of ‘Music’s Too Sad Without You’

Last month Jack shared the video for his single ‘Candlelight’, which was filmed in the Italian capitalat the historic Cinecitta film studios and directed by Charles Mehling (formerly of The Brian Jones Town Massacre), following Savoretti as he reminisces about a lost love..
