BRIT and GRAMMY nominated Southern California-bred sister band HAIM have shared new single ‘Don’t Wanna’ today.
The track is taken from their highly anticipated forthcoming album Women In Music Pt. III (Polydor Records).
Featured as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1, ‘Don’t Wanna’ is a beautifully upbeat yet vulnerable track that once again brilliantly demonstrates the band’s ability to exude hope and optimism, even in the toughest of relationship circumstances, as they sing, “I don’t wanna give up on you… I don’t wanna have to.”

Alana, Danielle and Este wrote ‘Don’t Wanna’ with Rostam Batmanglij (Charli XCX, Solange, Frank Ocean) and the song was produced by Danielle, Rostam and Ariel Rechtshaid (Adele, Blood Orange, Vampire Weekend).
“This song rolled off the tongue,” the band shares, “it’s sexy, flirty and hopeful.”
‘Don’t Wanna’ is the sixth track the band has shared from their forthcoming record, which will be released on June 26. Women In Music Pt. III will also include critically acclaimed singles ‘Summer Girl’, ‘Now I’m In It’, ‘Hallelujah’, ‘The Steps’ and most recent single ‘I Know Alone’ with NME declaring that the band “have dared to experiment – and once again they’re all the stronger for it.”
Speaking on the album title, Danielle shares, “the name came to me in a dream and I woke up laughing so I told my sisters.” Alana adds, “I liked it because we are literally women in music and we always get written about that way, so it seemed cool to make it our own and control the narrative.” Este adds, “I just thought it was funny, plus the initials are WIMP3. Wimp is a hilarious word.”
