Hot Chip take to the grid for F1 Tracks Hungarian GP playlist takeover


Get set for the Hungarian Grand Prix this weekend by following Hot Chip’s specially curated F1 Tracks takeover playlist for the race on Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music.

The English synth-pop group are the latest artists to put together a set of songs ahead of the next race in the Formula 1 calendar, following in the footsteps of Mabel and Two Door Cinema Club. They also spoke to ahead of the race about some of their favourite things about the sport.

The quintet’s playlist is the perfect compliment for F1 Tracks, the Official playlist for the world’s most popular motorsport and the essential new part of your build-up to every big race throughout the 2019 Formula 1 season. Hot Chip have taken the task of picking motorsport playlist to heart, with racing-themed tracks from the likes of Aphex Twin, Stevie Wonder, Bruce Springsteen and more.

On June 21, the band released their dynamic new album A Bath Full Of Ecstasy, which peaked at #11 in the UK Album charts, along with cracking the top 20 of the Billboard US Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.

A fresh, invigorating and essential new chapter in the band’s career, it saw the band working with external producers for the first time and featured the singles ‘Hungry Child’ and ‘Melody Of Love’.

The band, consisting of Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard, Al Doyle, Owen Clarke, and Felix Martin, are currently embarking on a packed summer of festival dates. Following this, Hot Chip will head out on their biggest tour yet in the autumn, including a date at London’s Alexandra Palace.
