Jaykae drops ‘Moscow’ from ‘Where Have You Been?’ EP

Jaykae has shared his brand new track ‘Moscow‘, taken from his forthcoming EP ‘Where Have You Been?‘ (released December 8)  – and you can listen to it now on the Shoot Music – New Releases Playlist.

A central part of the burgeoning Birmingham urban scene, Jaykae’s talents have been recognised by influential figures such as Mike Skinner, Skepta and MIST.

Renowned for his dynamic delivery, dexterous lyricism and brutally honest rhymes, Jaykae’s killer cut ‘Toothache’ went viral after it appeared in the hit American crime drama ‘Power’ and is now approaching 9 million streams on Spotify alone.

Now building on that growing attention by dropping the new track ‘Moscow’, which features production from his regular collaborator Bowzer Boss, Jaykae has produced something in contrast to his previous tracks while, lyrically, standing against youths carrying weapons.

Jaykae explains: “The hook is basically asking someone, ‘What are you carrying a knife for? You ain’t gonna use that. What are you doing? You’re not bad.’

“All these gassed up little dickheads out there, humble yourself man. Where are you going with that? Sort your life out, fix up, pull your socks up. Let us straighten you out.”

‘Where Have You Been?’ compiles all of Jaykae’s key calling cards to date (‘Toothache’, ‘Pull Up’, and ‘Every Country’ featuring Murkage Dave and production from Skepta) with ‘Moscow’ – which is also a new addition to the Soccer AM: New Music playlist –and another four new tracks.
