Joe Probert takes a new direction on ‘I Couldn’t Want You More’

21-year-old multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Joe Probert has released his new single I Couldn’t Want You More’.

Conceived, performed and recorded in his purpose built garden shed studio in the suburbs of Bristol and mixed by Josh Tyrell, the track marks a new direction since his debut ‘The Ocean Song’ in 2016.

The track gained half a million Spotify plays, support from Virgin and BBC Radio and led to performances at Glastonbury and Dot To Dot Festivals.

Listen to ‘I Couldn’t Want You More’ by Joe Probert on the Official Premier League Music Playlist on Spotify.

As a part time gardener, Joe has learned a thing or two about gradual cultivation. Good things can’t be rushed, spending his time tending and pruning his own playful style of soul drenched, blues fused rock, with ‘I Couldn’t Want You More’ the first fruit of his labours to ripen.

Joe reveals “The song is about the feelings that come with the ending of a relationship.

“It developed over a couple of years, after finding the first line of the song in an old poem book I bought from a charity store in Australia, and then twisted into something new”.
