Kasabian have released their new single ‘III Ray (The King)’, via Sony Music, from their new UK Number 1 LP ‘For Crying Out Loud’ – and you can listen to it now on the Shoot Music – New Releases Playlist.
Written and produced by Kasabian wizard Serge Pizzorno, and recorded at the Sergery, his Leicester studio, Kasabian’s sixth studio album, had the critics raving with NME, The Telegraph, Mirror, The I, The Sun, and Q Magazine all giving the record 4* and the Daily Star 5*.
The band have never sounded better live – selling out each and every show. They gave a ‘heart racing’ performance at TRNSMT last month and Reading and Leeds at the end of August.
The riotous eruption that opens the record and their incendiary live sets, ‘Ill Ray (The King)’, takes the self-aggrandisement of the best hip hop diss tracks and delivers it with a fistful of Leicester-bred piss-taking.
Kasabian have four UK #1 albums to their name and have sold over 5.5 million albums worldwide. They’ve won a Brit, seven NME awards, four Q Awards and have headlined Glastonbury Festival, as well as V Festival, T in the Park, and numerous festivals worldwide.
Kasabian – Serge Pizzorno (guitar and vocals), Tom Meighan (vocals), Chris Edwards (bass), Ian Matthews (drums) and Tim Carter (Guitars) – are well known Leicester City Football Club fanatics.
