Rising North London rapper Keeya Keys drops ‘Haaland’ single

Rising North London rapper and former professional footballer Keeya Keys makes his return with his new, energetic football themed single ‘Haaland’.

In true Keeya spirit, the track features a bouncy flow, and a series of punchy bars referencing footballer Erling Haaland, with the beat produced by Quincy Ferreira. The video, shot as a high-energy one-take, is directed by Kevin Hudson (Yxng Bane, NSG, Ivorian Doll, Chip) and shows Keeya and friends as they parade through the streets of Shoreditch, home to London’s edgiest scenes.

Following ‘Haaland’, Keeya Keys‘ next single – ‘Ridiculous’, offers a true UK garage summer vibe and is pencilled for release early August, with a vibrant video dropping on launch to match.

Keys has already built up impressive streaming numbers as he plans to turn the heat up this summer, with 5.4 million Spotify streams, 1.5 million Apple Music streams and over 3.9 million Youtube views.

All of the above is coupled with his steady start to the year jumping on the remix to Rudimental’s Be The One – with Morgan Connie Smith, Digga D and Tike, released back in February. His previous releases in 2021 also include Ding Ding’ ft A-MVN and featuring on Conducta‘s ‘4-4-2’ in April.

Keeya is a homegrown talent who has enjoyed and absorbed the unavoidable influence of London’s diverse music scenes ranging from Grime, Afrobeats, Drill and Hip-hop. Having been a professional footballer, it is clear to see that Keys’ passion for the beautiful game has a big influence on his music.

Despite only breaking out onto the scene in 2020, Keys is continually gaining the endorsement of artist peers, is exponentially growing his engaged global fan base and is by no means anywhere near his peak.
