The Killers have launched a special edition video of their track ‘The Man’ to celebrate the blockbuster fight between Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather and ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Unveiled by the fight’s host broadcaster, SHOWTIME®, the video sees the rock band performing their song in – you guessed it – a boxing ring in the middle of the Las Vegas desert.
‘The Man’ was released earlier this year ahead of the Las Vegas’ famed musical sons forthcoming album, ‘Wonderful Wonderful‘, out September 22.
You can also get in the mood for the clash dubbed the “fight of the century and the “event of the year” with the Shoot Music – Boxing Ring Walk Playlist.
Featuring some of boxing’s most legendary ring walk anthems (Mike Tyson to Redman’s ‘Time for Sum Aksion’, Lennox Lewis to Missy Elliot’s ‘Get Your Freak On’ and Muhammad Ali to the ‘Star Wars Theme’), fan favourites and iconic tracks, this boxing soundtrack will give you that extra buzz heading into fight night.
Mayweather is putting his undefeated record on the line against the Irish MMA great, who is taking part in his first professional boxing match having made his name in UFC.
The 40-year-old American has won all 49 of his career fights – 26 by KO – and has won 15 world titles in four different weight classes, while the 29-year-old Irishman has won 21 of his 24 MMA fights and is the reigning UFC Lightweight Champion.
The bout, to see ‘who’s the man’, is expected to pull in an audience of 50 million and generate over $600million, going close to becoming the richest in the history of the sport.
Distributed live by SHOWTIME PPV and promoted by Mayweather Promotions, the telecast also will be available in Spanish using secondary audio programming (SAP).
