Kodaline announce the ‘I Wouldn’t Be’ EP (B-Unique/Sony), featuring four brand new tracks written by the band and recorded at The Vale Studios in Worcestershire – and you can listen to it now on the Shoot Music – New Releases Playlist.
Released ahead of their run of four UK dates in December, the title track sees the band harmonising perfectly reminiscent of Bon Iver, while the anthemic ‘Ready To Change’ and indie-pop of ‘The Riddle’ are sure to become live favourites.
Last year, Kodaline featured on Kygo’s global smash ‘Raging’ and, alongside old collaborator Johnny McDaid, have for the first time worked with a variety of different writers and producers including pop guru Wayne Hector, Jonny Coffer (Beyonce, Emeli Sande, Naughty Boy), Steve Mac (Charlie XCX, Ed Sheeran) and Two Inch Punch (Rag‘n’Bone Man, Sam Smith) on their forthcoming album.
The Irish last album ‘Coming Up For Air‘ (2015), which went Gold in the UK, while debut album, ‘In A Perfect World‘ has sold over a million copies worldwide and imprinted itself on the nation’s consciousness with streaming figures well into the 100s of millions. On Vevo Kodaline’s videos have had over 200 million views, and they have sold over a million singles.
Kodaline – who will release their new album early in 2018 – are singer Steve Garrigan, guitarist Mark Prendergast, bassist Jason Boland and drummer Vinny May.
