Krept & Konan Drop ‘7 Days’ and ‘7 Nights’ Mixtapes

Hot on the heels of sharing the music video for their single, ‘Ask Flipz‘ (ft. Stormzy), pioneering UK rappers Krept & Konan release mixtapes ‘7 Days‘ and ‘7 Nights‘ via Virgin EMI – and you can listen to the featured track ‘Wo Wo Wo‘ now on the Shoot Music – New Releases Playlist.

A UK first (no other British artist has released two mixtapes on the same day), ‘7 Days’ and ‘7 Nights’ reflect the two sides of Krept & Konan’s signature sound.

While ‘7 Days’ boasts harder edged, grittier club tracks and features from J Hus, Skepta, Stormzy, Abra Cadabra and more; ‘7 Nights’ showcases smoother, R&B inflected, sultry jams and guest spots from Jhene Aiko, Hudson East and Tory Lanez.

Premiered by Annie Mac on Radio 1 and Mista Jam on BBC 1Xtra, ‘Ask Flipz’ received heavy rotation from Capital Xtra and Beats 1 (where the duo took over the airwaves, presenting their very own one-hour show broadcasted across the globe).

They also performed ‘7 Days’ offering ‘Wo Wo Wo’ live on Soccer AM earlier this season after appearing on the show’s famous sofa.

From the 2013 release of their ‘Young Kingz’ mixtape which shot into the top 20 of the Official UK album charts (earning them a world record for the Highest-Charting UK album by an Unsigned Act), through to the 2015 release of their debut album ‘The Long Way Home’ (which became the highest charting British Rap album in UK chart history after debuting at no. 2 in the official UK album charts), Krept & Konan have repeatedly broken records.

The duo have hit the road extensively, embarking on a sold-out headline UK tour and a pan European double headline tour with Ty Dolla $ign, as well as appearing at multiple festivals including, most recently, V Festival.

All of the above is in addition to stepping up on the MoStack’s ‘Liar Liar‘ remix; and featuring on the remix of Abra Cadabra’s ‘Robbery‘, which saw them win their fifth MOBO Award in their fourth consecutive year (since 2013) of winning at the ceremony.
