Calvin Harris links up with Steve Lacy on latest Love Regenerator track

Love Regenerator, the project and alternative moniker of Grammy award-winning, multi-platinum selling artist and heavyweight producer Adam Wiles/Calvin Harris, has shared new single ‘Live Without Your Love’ with Steve Lacy.

This year has seen a number of releases from Love Regenerator but this is its first featured vocalist collaboration.

This song, released via Defected/Columbia Records, marks a full circle moment and is Wiles’ Defected Records debut, the outcome of a long-held ambition for him. His love and respect for the UK house music label goes back over twenty years when he first submitted his demos to the label well before his success under the moniker Calvin Harris.

Speaking about the decision to start releasing music under a new moniker to Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 earlier this year, Harris said “I didn’t want to put it under my stage name that’s known. I started feeling almost negative connotations with that name.”

“It’s not my name. My name is Adam. The fake name has been around for a long time and it’s served me well. It’s still around but there’s just a little bit of negativity from me creeping around that name. Let’s shepherd in a new little thing and see what happens with it.”

Heavyweight producer, DJ and songwriter Calvin Harris stands as the figurehead for modern dance music, having broken world records and dominated the charts with his many hits.

His work has garnered a number of music awards and nominations including 15 Brit Award nominations, 13 VMA nominations, five Grammy nominations and a 2013 Grammy Award in the Best Music Video category for ‘We Found Love‘.
