Meduza follow up Grammy nomination with release of ‘Born To Love’

Recent Grammy nominees Meduza have released their debut Defected production ‘Born To Love’.

The single’s release follows the runaway success of their track ‘Piece Of Your Heart’ (featuring Goodboys), which soared to #2 in the UK Singles Chart and dominated dancefloors all summer long.

Most recently, the track was nominated in the ‘Best Dance Recording’ category at the 2020 Grammys alongside Bonobo, The Chemical Brothers, Rufus Du Soul and Skrillex & The Boys Noize.

Building on the self-assured style of their growing catalogue, the trio’s signature rumbling bassline and atmospheric chords take centre stage on this anticipated release.

Pairing up with London vocalist SHELLS, her softer, melodic vocals offset the tougher elements of the record, as the unstoppable trio join forces with Defected Records to continue bringing house music to the forefront of the music industry.

Meduza spent 2019 leading the charge in returning house music to daytime radio, and succeeding. Debut release, ‘Piece Of Your Heart’ featuring Goodboys, has been streamed over a billion times globally, reaching double platinum (1.2m units) in the UK alone.

This trend has followed the trio globally, with multi-Diamond, Platinum and Gold certifications around the world. The follow up, ‘Lose Control’ with Goodboys and Becky Hill, has made an unprecedented impact, reaching the UK Top 40 in its first week, now notching upward of 375 million cumulative streams, reaching Gold sales in the UK in less than four months.

These headline successes are also bolstered by an impressive catalogue of hand picked remixes for the likes of MK, R+, Dermot Kennedy and Ritual, displaying not only Meduza’s signature sound and energy, but also the raw ability to create a stand out release whenever called upon.
