The Ninth Wave reveal second EP track ‘Swallow Me’

The Ninth Wave release ‘Swallow Me’, the second single from their forthcoming EP ‘Never Crave Attention’, released April 20 on Distiller Records – and you can listen to it now on the Fantasy Premier League playlist.

‘Swallow Me’ sees the band continue to delve into the darker side of human nature, exploring the dynamics of a manipulative relationship. With its sharp ’80s synths and frenetic, genre-shattering guitar riff, the track is perhaps their darkest offering yet, reminiscent of The Cult, Interpol and Talking Heads.

The Ninth Wave’s debut EP ‘Reformation’ was released late last year and has already garnered huge acclaim for the Scottish upstarts, with the likes of BBC Radio 1, 6 Music and Radio X all championing the band.

Through their collaborations with radical fashion designer Charles Jeffrey and alt-rock trio Demob Happy, The Ninth Wave have displayed a ravenous hunger to push the envelope and create a unique, all-encompassing experience.

The Ninth Wave – Elina Lin (co-vocals/guitar), Haydn Park-Patterson (co-vocals/guitar), Ronan Park-Patterson (synth/bass) and Lewis Tollan (drums) – have bit-by-bit built a reputation as one of Glasgow’s most exciting, boundary-pushing bands.

They began in the same self-supporting scene that’s brought the likes of WHITE, Neon Waltz and Catholic Action. Winners of Electric Fields festival’s unsigned bands competition, they also scored a slot on T in the Park’s prestigious T Break stage, before inking an EP deal with Distiller Records (Anteros, Holy Oysters).
