Oscar Lang shares ‘Apple Juice’ single from next EP release

19 year old Oscar Lang has today unveiled his new single ‘Apple Juice’.

The London based artist, multi-instrumentalist and producer is also readying his new EP Hand Over Your Head for release on 11 September via Dirty Hit.

Lang’s latest EP follows early-2020’s Overthunk and 2019 debut bops etc., both of which drew press praise everywhere from The Sunday Times to The FADER and radio airplay from BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, Jack Saunders and Huw Stephens.

Hand Over Your Head marks not only Lang’s third EP via Dirt Hit, but his most significant step forward yet in songwriting terms – increasingly rich with razor-sharp details, each beat and bassline precisely designed for maximum impact.

Speaking about new single ‘Apple Juice’, Lang said: “‘Apple Juice’ counts as two of your five a day. My new EP Hand Over Your Head is the sonic amalgamation of all the music I’ve recorded to date, plus a few tunes that I’ve been sitting on and have been playing for a while.

“Getting out of my bedroom studio and playing live with my band influenced these recordings a lot – I’m so happy that Rich Turvey and I managed to capture the essence of a sweaty live show.”

While Oscar Lang had already begun to experiment with a blend of Beatles-esque psychedelic rock and crisper, modern sound on Overthunk, the new material takes things to a whole new level. Lang cites the likes of Beck and Babe Rainbow as key touchstones on Hand Over Your Head.
