Pixies release second single from upcoming album ‘Beneath the Eyrie’

Pixies have released ‘Catfish Kate’, the latest single from their forthcoming album Beneath the Eyrie.

Visceral, musically cinematic, otherworldly but strangely familiar and a bit unsettling, welcome to Pixies’ brand-new studio album, Beneath the Eyrie, where tales of witches, Daniel Boone, misfits and other characters fit utterly into the band’s inherent weirdness.

Boasting 12 new songs, the album will be released globally on Friday September via the group’s new record label, Infectious/BMG.

Listen to ‘Catfish Kate’ by Pixies on the Official Fantasy Premier League playlist on Spotify.

The iconic group, made up of Black Francis (vocals, guitars), Joey Santiago (guitars), David Lovering (drums) and Paz Lenchantin (bass) offer this track as the second single from Beneath The Eyrie, following on from the release of the record’s debut single ‘On Graveyard Hill’ in June.

Korda Marshall, UK SVP Music, BMG, said “There are not many bands that can justifiably claim to have changed the sound of music. The Pixies are one, and they continue to push the boundaries with their brilliant new album.

“We are honored and proud to have signed them to Infectious/BMG and really look forward to working with them in the future.”
