If you’ve ever wondered what music Lionel Messi likes to listen to before a big match then now is the time to stop wondering, because you can now find out the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s musical tastes with the FC Barcelona Player Playlists.

FC Barcelona have teamed up with Deezer, one of the world’s leading musical platforms, in a new partnership which brings fans of the footballing giants the unique sound of Barça, meaning you can access playlists selected by the Argentine wizard plus team-mates including Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique and Andrés Iniesta.

J Balvin, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, the Rolling Stones and Coldplay are just some of the artists featured on the player’s soundtracks. Plus you can discover who likes a bit of Joaquín Sabina, Estopa and Melendi turned up in the dressing room.

As well as favoured tracks selected by the current crop of superstars, the Club’s Official Music Sponsor has also launched a playlist picked by a club legend in the shape of Gaizka Mendieta.

As Barcelona’s Official Music Partner, Deezer, who have a similar deal with Manchester United, will provide more than 100 songs for music and football fans that represent the spirit of the Camp Nou club as well as the tracks that help the star names get into the zone before the big games.

On the day of the match, official playlists will also provide the soundtrack both before and during the game. All this great content can be found in a new channel called The Sound of Barça – the perfect place for fans to get closer to their heroes and their musical passion.

So whether you are chasing your goals at work, kicking off your shoes at home or chasing your dreams on the field, Barcelona and Deezer are joining together to ensure fans can take the sound of Barça with them wherever they may be.
