Rollo Armstrong shares ‘My Boy’ single with Dido under R Plus moniker

R Plus – the recently unveiled alter ego of Rollo Armstrong – has released latest single ‘My Boy’, featuring his iconic long time collaborator, superstar musician and sister, Dido.

The track is taken from the album The Last Summer, set for release on October 11 through Loaded Records.

R Plus has now been unveiled as the work of none other than Rollo, with The Last Summer the first of a planned series of albums under the moniker.

Listen to ‘My Boy’ by R Plus and Dido on the Official Fantasy Premier League playlist on Spotify.

The first singles from the album, ‘Summer Dress’ and ‘Those Were The Days’, were released without revealing the musicians behind them and have been lighting up chilled out playlists throughout the summer in the Balearics and beyond, although eagle-eared listeners were quick to spot the distinctive vocals of Dido on the song.

R Plus first came into being when Rollo was working with Dido on her recently released #3 album, Still On My Mind. While the siblings worked on her songs, Rollo expressed his desire to make a new album of his own, an evocative take on the music he loves best.

Rising up from a warm but minimal opening backdrop with its dreamy vocals, ‘My Boy’ creates an atmospheric reverie as it builds. It becomes textured but easy, uplifting and a little yearning, an evocative tune that captures the heat of Balearic summers past.
