Rejjie Snow today shares new single ‘Mirrors’ featuring Swedish-born Iranian singer-songwriter Snoh Aalegra and frequent collaborator Cam O’bi via BMG.
‘Mirrors’ is a groove-based, jazzy track that Snow explains is “about the sun & everything that shines in life”. The new track follows on from the collaborative ‘Cookie Chips’ single featuring the legendary MF DOOM and O’bi which has amassed over five million streams and counting.
The Irish artist’s debut album Dear Annie, released in 2018, was a roaring success that received rave reviews from the Guardian to NME and was praised as “a dazzling record” (Crack Magazine) of “blissful hip-hop” (The Times).
Listen to ‘Mirrors (feat. Snoh Aalegra and Cam O’bi)’ by Rejjie Snow on the Official Fantasy Premier League playlist on Spotify.
The album also took him on a tour across the world with sold-out stops at Baby’s All Right in New York, The Roxy in LA and London’s legendary Roundhouse, and a riotous homecoming at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre.
Rejjie Snow might seem like a rap artist but he doesn’t see it that way. It’s not just that he grew up the only black kid on Dublin’s Northside, where there’s no music scene to speak of. It’s that Rejjie is a scene unto himself.
The 27-year-old lives wherever his suitcase settles, wherever his songs send him, creating worlds and tangling words into beautifully complex knots that blur biography with fantasy over a shifting mass of rainy loops, technicolor keys, and trippy percussion. His influences are as disparate as George Michael and Charles Bukowski.
He almost had a career as a footballer but, instead, Rejjie has toured with Madonna, recorded with left-field dance genius KAYTRANADA and, after signing to 300 Entertainment in 2016, became labelmate to other outsiders like Young Thug and Fetty Wap.
