Rejjie Snow has released ‘Egyptian Luvr’ feat. Aminé, from his highly anticipated debut album ‘Dear Annie’ – and you can listen to it now on the Shoot Music – New Releases Playlist.
A first, Kaytranada-produced, single from the record, ‘Egyptian Luvr’ sits alongside fellow tracks ‘Mon Amour‘, ‘Spaceships‘, ‘Rainbows‘, ‘Room 27‘ and ‘The Ends‘ on ‘Dear Annie‘ – released February 16 via 300 Entertainment / Brace Face – which is a sweeping cinematic overture and bold statement of intent from the 23-year old.
Written and recorded across Los Angeles, London and Paris, ‘Dear Annie’ is a genre-spanning opus of 20 tracks that features production from the aforementioned Kaytranada, Cam O’bi, Rahki, and Lewis Ofman, and guest appearances from Portland powerhouse Aminé, London storytellers Eberneezer and Jesse James Solomon, and Oslo ice princess Anna of the North.
Born in Dublin, Rejjie Snow lives wherever his suitcase settles, wherever the songs send him, making albums in the middle of making other albums, and tangling words into beautifully complex knots that blur biography with fantasy over a shifting mass of rainy loops, technicolor keys, and trippy percussion.
Influenced by the likes of George Michael and Charles Bukowski, he designs his own clothes, paints and almost had a career as a professional footballer before deciding to tour with Madonna instead.
Rejjie then recorded with left field dance genius Kaytranada and, after signing to 300 Entertainment in 2016, became label mate to fellow outsiders like Young Thug and Fetty Wap.
