Ahead of their highly anticipated appearances at Reading & Leeds Festival this weekend, Sea Girls today release their brand new single ‘Violet’.

Launching on BBC Radio 1 as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World, ‘Violet’ is a sensational turn of pace, upping the ante and firing on all cylinders. “

I’m not leaving here without you!” howls singer Henry Camamile as the band continue to firmly assert themselves as one of the frontrunners in British guitar music.

Speaking of the track, Henry says; “If our other tracks are the shade, then ‘Violet’ is definitely the light.

“There is no tortured soul here, just a boy who avoided the inevitable for years, suddenly realises, and throws himself wholeheartedly to someone who’s made for him. Put your face in a sink of ice cold water and that’s how it makes me feel.”

After a whirlwind start to the year, which saw them being named as the only band on the BBC’s Sound of 2019 list and playing their biggest ever sold out live show at London’s Heaven, the band take to the BBC Introducing stage at 1pm on Friday in Reading and at 12:50pm in Leeds on Saturday.

By the time the band start their Autumn tour – including their biggest ever headline show at the 02 Kentish Town Forum in London on October 10 – they will have played to over 190,000 people worldwide.
