Soccer AM Reveal Spotify Playlists

Soccer AM – the fans’ favourite Saturday morning football show – are pleased to announce their official music playlists on Spotify.

Soccer AM: The Playlist includes all the hot tracks used on the show, while Soccer AM: New Music gives fans the chance to check out all the latest tracks on their way to the game.

Working alongside Shoot Music, their playlists combine live talent, plus upcoming and established artists with the soundtracks to the show’s goal montages, including the popular ‘Goals Of The Week‘ and ‘Showboat‘.

Many artists have been guests on the show’s famous sofa but the connection between the Soccer AM and music was taken to a whole new level last season with live performances, showcasing new talent and legendary artists, being introduced.

Each week a different act opens the show, which has so far featured the likes of Richard Ashcroft, Blossoms, Kaiser Chiefs, Professor Green, The Manor, Wretch 32, The Coral, SLAVES, VANT, Tom Grennan and The Sherlocks.

First broadcast in 1995, Soccer AM (on Sky 1 and Sky Sports Football at 10am on Saturdays) has traditionally kicked-off the weekend for football fans cross the country for a long time, leading the way when it comes to humour, celebrity guests, analysis and…. new music.

Predominantly based around the Premier League (though also touching on the Football League, Scottish Premiership and European leagues), it was originally presented by Jane Hoffen, Gary A. Stevens and Russ Williams, before Helen Chamberlain and Tim Lovejoy replaced them. Lovejoy served for over a decade and he has since been replaced by Andy Goldstein, Max Rushden and John Fendley. Chamberlain departed in 2017 after 22 years with Fendley being joined by Jimmy Bullard and Lloyd Griffith for the current season.

Parts of the show have remained since the beginning, whilst new items have been introduced each season. Every week sees a new group of celebrity guests, generally featuring at least one footballer, a mix of musicians, TV personalities, and other faces from the world of sport or entertainment.
