Indie/alternative rock group Springfield have shared their latest single ‘Footstep’.
Recorded at Sugar House Music in St. Helens, it’s the follow-up single to the Cumbrian group’s debut EP Inside Jokes, released in 2018.
Inspired by the likes of The Amazons, Moose Blood and Otherkin among others, Springfield are currently embarking on a 14 date tour of the UK, organised and booked by the band themselves.
Listen to ‘Footstep’ by Springfield on the Liverpool FC Official Playlist on Spotify.
Plaudits from Indie press outlets include GigSlutz praising it as “Catchy, harmonious and clocking in at under three minutes, this gem will be sure to spin around your head for days” and This Feeling calling it a “BIG TUNE. For fans of The Hunna, Jaws, Marsicans and Spinn”.
On their latest track the band said, “‘Footstep’ is undoubtedly our best work yet, it’s a synth driven banger and a huge step in the right direction for us”.
The hunger to escape the dead end rat race of West Cumbria drives this band to work hard, play with their hearts on their sleeves but also to be straight to the point, as evidenced by the 2:39 runtime of ‘Footstep’.
The final three dates of their UK tour see Springfield playing The Zanzibar Club in Liverpool on April 13, followed by dates at St. James Wine Vaults in Bath on April 20 and the culminating gig in their home county at The Brickyard in Carlisle the following day.
