Tom Gregory unveils ‘Rather Be You’ single from forthcoming debut record

Blackpool born Tom Gregory shares new single ‘Rather Be You’, which will feature on debut album Heaven in a World So Cold, out September 8 on 3Beat.

The 24-year-old is becoming a bit of a hometown hero, with over 100 million streams and his previous single ‘Fingertips’ sitting on the BBC Radio 2 playlist.

‘Rather Be You’ is a personal song revolving around a break-up and the emotions that go with it. “When my last relationship ended, I had the feeling that my ex-girlfriend was able to deal with it better than me. Which is why I wished I’d been in her shoes – that’s how ‘Rather Be You’ came about.” says Tom.

Following in the early footsteps of artist Lewis Capaldi, Tom has already had huge success in Germany touring across the country to build his fanbase, playing to as many as 14,000 fans in one night (Energy Star Night in Zurich) and topping the Germany Airplay chart.

He also collaborated with the internationally-renowned DJ & producer duo VIZE on ‘Never Let Me Down’, which is about to hit 20 million streams on Spotify.

Tom already attracts more than a million daily streams and has five million monthly listeners on the platform.
