Wolf Alice have unveiled ‘Beautifully Unconventional‘, the latest single from the band’s forthcoming eagerly anticipated album ‘Visions Of A Life‘ – and you can listen to it now on the Shoot Music – New Releases Playlist.
The infectious and boldly grooved track shows yet another musical side to Wolf Alice, whilst lyrically following in the footsteps of early career highlight ‘Bros‘ as an ode to young female friendship that further cements their reputation as one of the biggest breakthrough independent bands of recent years.
‘Beautifully Unconventional’ arrives as the band depart on their first UK shows of 2017, a string of intimate, long-since-sold-out shows in which they will return to some of the venues they played on their first ever tour. The band play a full tour later in the year, including their biggest headline show to date at London’s Alexandra Palace.
Wolf Alice’s 2015 Gold-selling debut album ‘My Love Is Cool‘ hit No. 2 in the UK charts in June of that year, and No. 12 on the Billboard alternative albums chart in the US. They were nominated for the Mercury Prize, Ivor Novello Award, a BRIT for Breakthrough Act and Grammy for Best Rock Performance, and took home two NME Awards. They crisscrossed the UK, the US, Australia, Japan and Europe on the mother of all two-year tours.
‘Visions Of A Life’ is fundamentally a personal album, and one of great growth for Wolf Alice – Ellie Rowsell (vocals, guitar), Joff Oddie (guitars, vocals), Theo Ellis (bass), and Joel Amey (drums, vocals). The record features the previously released single ‘Yuk Foo‘ and ‘Don’t Delete The Kisses‘, and will be released on September 29 via Dirty Hit.
