High Tyde – a quartet from Worthing, Sussex – have released the single, ‘Young Offenders‘ – and you can listen to it now on the Shoot Music – New Releases Playlist.

Produced and mixed by Larry Hibbit (Nothing But Thieves, Sundara Karma, Hundred Reasons), it’s a fizzing slice of alt-dance rock with a darkened heart and a chorus which you fancy could decimate many a festival field.

It’s a truth that goes back as far as Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis: rock music finds its most truthful power in blistering, youthful energy. For High Tyde, this is palpably the case.

The south-coast band enjoyed a breakthrough following their 2015 ‘Fuzz‘ EP, which led to a tour with Little Comets, festival slots at Boardmasters, Y Not, Dot To Dot, Reading and Leeds, Spain’s Arenal Sound and a mainstage appearance at Japan’s Summersonic, as well as one off shows as far afield as LA and supports to Rat Boy and the Hunna.

Still with an average age of just 20, High Tyde – bassist and vocalist Cody ThomasMatthews, guitarists Connor Cheetham and Spencer TobiasWilliams and drummer Louis SemlekanFaith – have racked up over 3 million plays on Spotify as well as 35 on Radio 1).

The boys have also sold out London’s landmark Scala venue and toured the length and breadth of the UK, all through sheer force of will and an unquenchable love for melody.
