Multi-platinum selling X Ambassadors release their powerful and redemptive new single ‘Joyful’ – and you can listen to it now on the Shoot Music – New Releases Playlist.
Written and produced by the rock band, mixed by Manny Marroquin (Rihanna, Sia, Bastille) and mastered by Joe LaPorta (David Bowie, Calle 13), the song is an emotionally raw and impassioned reminder to simply appreciate being alive.
“JOYFUL” was one of the first songs we wrote for the new album,” said lead vocalist Sam Harris.
“We’d just gotten off 2 years of touring– my body was fragile, my mind was a mess, and my heart had just been broken by someone I cared about very much. So I got lost in my work, looking for something to help ground me.”
The track – which is also a new addition to the official Premier League playlist – will appear on the band’s new album by the same name which is set for release this spring on KIDinaKORNER / Interscope Records.
Following playing the Radio 1/NME stage at last year’s Reading and Leeds Festival, plus their headline a show at London’s ULU in August, X Ambassadors will share ‘Joyful’ live on their upcoming February tour that has the LA based band playing a handful of intimate clubs across the US.
The band, who donated the proceeds of their 2017 track ‘Hoping‘ to the American Civil Liberties Union, will also be playing songs from their gold certified debut album ‘VHS‘ spawned multiplatinum singles ‘Renegades‘ and ‘Unsteady‘ as well as platinum single ‘Jungle‘ after its release in June 2015.
