Milton Keynes based riff kings Torus are back with 'Avalanche', their first new music since 2022's celebrated Sail EP.
Recorded by producer Thomas Mitchener (Frank Carter / Gallows, The Damned, WARGASM, NOAHFINNCE) & mastered by Grant Berry (All Time Low, Hot Milk, Busted) ‘Avalanche’ is a 90s rock inspired big riff banger about “having a need and longing for clear communication and understanding between yourself and someone who is a significant force in your life”. The anthem in the making sees Torus collaborate with MNRK label mates The Blue Stones.
“We have never been more excited to release a song.” said Torus. “It’s the perfect ‘BOOM’ Torus are back, and to be able to have The Blue Stones featuring is super cool.”

“What’s more fun than being chased around by a Yeti? Waking up at 4am to be chased around by a Yeti!”, the band joke about the brilliant self produced video. Shot on location at the finest slopes in the UK, and featuring the infamous yeti of Hemel Hempstead, the video is a a humorous take on Scooby Doo-meets-The Blair Witch Project with its ‘infamous”chase scenes.
Fuelled by a lifelong love of loud and heavy rock, Alfie Glass formed Torus at the end of 2019. Inspired by decades of powerhouse riffing, from Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath to Kyuss and Queens Of The Stone Age, the new project demanded that everyone involved was on the same musical page. As a result, the arrival of bassist Harry Quinn made perfect sense. Having played together in countless bands in their native Milton Keynes over the preceding years, the duo swiftly developed a fizzing and intuitive, creative partnership. The band is completed by Jack Orr on drums.
The band are currently wrapping up recording their debut album, with the release of ‘Avalanche’, followed by the trio hitting the venues around the UK in June.
