Hotly tipped electronic musician DRIIA unveils her latest single, 'A Little Life', out today via Ministry of Sound.
In ‘A Little Life’, DRIIA masterfully captures the essence of the late 90s and early 00s with a nostalgic breakbeat drum pattern and synth line, complemented by her stunning vocals and inspiring horn arrangements. Fully produced, written, and performed by DRIIA, this track showcases her multifaceted talent and solidifies her place in the contemporary music scene.
DRIIA says, “When I wrote “A Little Life”, I almost imagined my older self, reflecting on her life and everything that happened. All the love she felt, the inevitable grief and obstacles she faced, and the potential state of the planet. It was a way to vent my existential anxiety about what our lives and society will turn into. There’s something beautiful and humbling about recognising our insignificance, a small planet in a universe with trillions of galaxies, so to me the song represents a reminder of how fleeting and miraculous our lives are, and how we shouldn’t take it for granted.”

Since signing to Ministry of Sound in late 2023, DRIIA has been hailed as one of the most promising talents by the likes of Danny Howard who tipped her as one of his Future Stars on BBC Radio 1 this year. Already the cause of much excitement throughout the scene, her journey is just beginning.
Her distinct style has attracted the attention of prominent artists and songwriters, leading her to work with the likes of Jax Jones, Rudimental, Interplanetary Criminal, LF SYSTEM and more. In turn, DRIIA co-wrote Rudimental’s recent hit ‘Green & Gold’ featuring Charlotte Plank, which catapulted onto BBC Radio 1’s A List and Capital Playlist, storming into the OCC within its first week.
The classically trained London based artist and producer doesn’t just blend genres; she reshapes them with a contemporary flair that’s impossible to ignore. Drawing from Jungle, Breaks, and Trip-Hop, she crafts a sound that strikes a balance between innovation and nostalgia.
