Kasabian have unleashed their explosive new track, ‘Great Pretender’, the second to be taken from their forthcoming album, Act III - out July 17.
Arriving following kicking off 2026 by collaborating with Calvin Harris on the dance floor banger ‘Release The Pressure’, the band have also been announced to make a special guest appearance on the brand new Sky One show Saturday Night Live UK this Saturday (April 4).
Following on from, ‘Hippie Sunshine’, the album’s wavy first taste, ‘Great Pretender’ is an infectiously euphoric anthem made for festival stages. Written by Serge Pizzorno and produced by Serge and Mark Ralph, ‘Great Pretender’ will undoubtedly blow the lid off of Finsbury Park this summer.

“‘Great Pretender’ is about imposter syndrome not as a weakness, but as a sign you’re on the edge of something real,” Serge says of the single. “It’s that feeling right before you step on stage, when the lights go down and it’s now or never.”
The band’s ninth studio album – with their last seven all going straight in at #1 in the UK Official Album Chart – Act III was recorded at The Sergery and Club Ralph and produced by Serge and Mark Ralph. Draped in Serge’s instantly recognisable hazy vocals, the album is ten tracks of guitar-driven, psyche-infused pop and three interludes. Packed to the brim with hooks and a strong dose of swagger, the album cements Kasabian as one of the UK’s most essential bands of the 21st century.
The band returns to London this summer for a massive headline celebration at Finsbury Park on July 4. Support comes from Louis Dunford, Razorlight, The K’s, Miles Kane and SOFY. Set to be one of the highlights of the summer, the show is already over 95% sold. The band will also play a string of festivals across the UK and Europe this summer, including Boardmasters, TRNSMT, Victorious Festival, Mad Cool Festival, and more.
