George FitzGerald unveils details of his new album, Lima Romeo, out February 12 2027, preceded by the emotive warehouse jam, 'Hold'.
“”Hold” has been a moment in all of my DJ sets throughout the summer. It’s been amazing to see the reaction it gets on dancefloors, so I’m excited to share it finally.” says George FitzGerald.
George’s fourth full-length album is a brilliant moment of convergence in the south-east London producer’s kaleidoscopic catalogue. Across the last fifteen years, FitzGerald has established himself as someone who effortlessly crafts floor-filling dance music and gorgeously textured sonic tapestries, and on Lima Romeo, he merges these instincts to stunning effect, resulting in a rich and melodic work that further cements his position as one of electronic music’s leading lights.

FitzGerald refers to Lima Romeo as “a document of time” that reflects a back-to-basics approach, as he embraced the tools and ways of thinking that resulted in his 2015 debut Fading Love. “One of the weird things I did over the years was that I started to get rid of instruments I’d written entire albums with,” he recalls. “I eventually thought, ‘Why the hell was I doing that?’ So I went back to my core gear that I know intimately and searched instead for other ways to explore those machines.”
“I was going back to a more homespun way of making music—working in a more immediate and sometimes lo-fi way,” FitzGerald continues. Indeed, this intimate and personal touch extends to the album’s title (which references the postcode of his studio) as well as the cover, a hat-tip to the crackling interconnectivity of ham radio that parallels how FitzGerald perceives his own creative circuitry. “You’re sitting here with your machines trying to talk to people, which feels like a long-winded but beautiful method. It’s like I’m sending out call signs to people and hoping that they hear me.”
“I’ve come to see my music as a search for communication and togetherness,” FitzGerald adds. “Working in the studio with other people just unlocks something else in you. Creating something new not just for yourself is what makes the process joyous and worthwhile.”
As announced previously George FitzGerald will be performing an all night long DJ set at London’s Phonox on Saturday 7 November, tickets are onsale now. This is in addition to his all day long DJ set at Brighton’s Patterns+ forthcoming sets at ADE and Warehouse Project, with a live show in the works for next year. FitzGerald has been busy, he DJ’d Beatport’s first ever Live [London] in July, hit Ibiza’s Pikes three times this summer and dropped by HÖR for a set whilst playing in Berlin, watch it back here.
