Beren Olivia releases her latest single ‘Stranger On Fire’, following hot on the heels of a sold-out debut headline show in London earlier this month and live appearances at the British F1 Grand Prix and Victorious Festival this summer.
One of the UK’s most exciting rising alt-pop stars, Beren Olivia is known and loved by her fans for her relatable songwriting and lyrics which resonate on so many levels. ‘Stranger On Fire’ builds upon the vibe created with her earlier 2022 releases ‘So Emotional’ and ‘Tomorrow’ and Beren instantly knew it was a track that needed to be released.
Reminiscing on writing the pop banger, Beren said “I love people watching & I love inventing a background story. I saw this guy at a bar, he was quite slim, wearing a leather jacket, his whole aura just felt dark. I wanted to know everything about this person, and I started writing it all down and turned it into a song.”

At 24 years old and in just two years of independently releasing music, Beren has surged from zero to nearly 16 million streams in just a few singles, along with huge support at BBC Radio 1, NOTION, Clash, Dork, 1883, Official Charts and streaming platforms alike.
Beren’s songwriting has seen success way beyond the norm – and her authentic relatability has gained her swathes of fans who rally around her online. A former competitive swimmer, Beren is the same girl who was never able to go to a music festival (though that all changed at last year’s Reading Festival) yet drew on that sheer determination to find herself working with her heroes.
Olivia has been hotly tipped by BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders who said, “the more I listen to this the more I believe in Beren Olivia”. ‘Stranger On Fire’ was written by Beren alongside Julian Emery (Nothing But Thieves, You Me At Six, The Amazons) and Emily Burns.
