Electronic music titan Calvin Harris and indie-rock icons Kasabian unite for explosive new anthemm, ‘Release The Pressure’.
Global powerhouse Calvin Harris continues his streak of high-profile collaborations, joining forces with Leicester’s finest, Kasabian, for a genre-defying sonic explosion available now on Columbia Records.
Following a series of record-breaking festival runs and the ongoing evolution of his signature sound, Calvin Harris enters 2026 by bridging the gap between the mainstage and the stadium. ‘Release The Pressure’ marks a historic meeting of musical minds, pairing Harris’s unparalleled production precision with the raw, psychedelic energy that has defined Kasabian for over two decades.

The release arrives as both artists prepare for a massive summer season. For Harris, the single follows his 2025 chart dominance and further explores the heavier, more experimental club sounds teased in his recent sets. For Kasabian, the collaboration continues their fearless streak of sonic exploration, with the band releasing previous solo single ‘Hippie Sunshine’ last year as the first preview of their ninth album, coming later this year.
Calvin Harris stands as the figurehead for modern dance music, having broken world records and dominated the charts. He has over 35 billion combined audio and video streams in his career history, making him one of the most viewed artists on YouTube and one of Sony Music’s biggest streaming artists. His work has garnered a number of top music awards and nominations, including 14 MTV VMA nominations and two wins, five Grammy nominations and a 2013 Grammy Award win in the Best Music Video category for ‘We Found Love’.
Kasabian’s previous album, Happenings, released in 2024, was packed with quick, sharp, visceral doses of fresh heavy hitters, drawing inspiration from the anything-goes art performance late-1950s. Veering between the dance floor to the mosh pit, tracks over three minutes were outlawed (well nearly), and with 11 tracks clocking up to 28 minutes and 51 seconds, Happenings was not only an album that never overstayed its welcome, but leaves listeners craving more.
