BRIT Award winning and global arena headliners Jungle share, ‘The Wave’, the latest track from upcoming album, Sunshine, out August 14.
It follows on from ‘Carry On’, which was premiered as Radio 1’s Hottest Record before quickly amassing more than 14 million streams and playlist support across Radio 1, Radio 2 and Virgin Radio.
Jungle – J Lloyd, Tom McFarland and Lydia Kitto – took inspiration for ‘The Wave’ from the Brazilian music scene of the ‘60s and ‘70s, channeling the warmth and musicality of that era into a distinctly sleek production. Lyrically it is about finding the strength to persevere with a relationship as it goes through challenges – a dose of optimism in the face of tough times.

Directed, as ever, by long-time collaborators J Lloyd and Charlie Di Placido of Contentus Maximus, the accompanying video for ‘The Wave’ was shot in South Africa and continues the cinematic, one-take choreography-led world synonymous with Jungle’s creative identity.
Jungle were formed in London in 2013 by Tom McFarland and J Lloyd, before their regular collaborator Lydia Kitto became an official member of the group in 2024. Matching a euphoric concoction of modern disco, soul and hip-hop with exemplary visual content defined by world-class choreography, they shot to attention with their self-titled UK Top 10 debut album in 2014. Their rise continued with another Top 10 with 2018’s For Ever and then Loving In Stereo which hit #3 in 2021.
2023 saw Jungle become a global force with Volcano. Reaching #3 in the UK, the album featured their biggest hit to date in the shape of ‘Back On 74’ which has been certified Platinum in both the UK and US. The campaign saw Jungle rise to sell-out arenas all over the world, playing to hundreds of thousand of fans across 2023/24 with highlights including The O2 in London, Coachella and headlining All Points East. To date, Jungle have amassed an incredible 3.4 billion streams.
Jungle’s ‘Sunshine’ world tour features huge arena dates spanning North America, the UK, Europe and Australia, including two homecoming shows at London’s O2 after a second date was added due to demand.
