Singer-Songwriter Karen Harding embarks on a new chapter of her career with, 'Night Moves', released on her newly set up label, Purple Coco.
‘Night Moves’ is an infectious, effortlessly smooth slice of melodic house and when Mr Belt & Wezol heard the demo, the collaboration was born.
On her latest release, Karen says, “Night Moves has such a warmth and energy to it. I can’t quite put my finger on exactly what style of dance music it is but, that was what I set out to make this record be something that just felt right and captured a fun side of me that I haven’t really leant into before. I love Mr Belt & Wezol and their style, adding something unique to a record, so I was really happy they wanted to be a part of it!”

Mr. Belt & Wezol add, “We’ve been big fans of Karen’s voice for a long time, so getting the chance to work with her on her album was a real pleasure. ‘Night Moves’ really blends the best of both our worlds, and we’re proud of how it turned out.”
Karen, burst onto the dance scene back in 2014, with the MNEK produced, huge hit, ‘Say Something’. A UK Top Ten track, now regarded, as one of the great anthems of the 2000’s. Going on to be certified Triple Platinum and the start of a hugely successful career in dance music.
With an over-riding impulse, to be in total control of her solo musical output. Karen has setup her own label, via a distribution deal with LabelWorx, with ‘Night Moves’ the first release of that exciting new deal.
On Purple Coco, Karen says, “I’ve always admired artists who have their own record label. It takes determination to get it right and now in my career I’m ready for that challenge. Throughout my music career I have worked with many labels and feel like I’ve really been able to learn a lot about what I want from a label and so it just felt right to set up Purple Coco (my favourite colour and favourite fruit of course!). I wanted to have an outlet where I felt no judgement, there was no pressure from others about how to sound or look and to be in control of it all. I’m so excited for this next step and think Purple Coco is really going to be something special.”
