Netherlands DJ duo Mr Belt & Wezol put their house spin on Whitney Houston's classic 'It's Not Right (But It's Ok)', following their recent signing with Sony Music Benelux.
On the track, the duo said: “Our DJ sets are always filled to the brim with samples of classic tracks, but we hadn’t yet sampled Whitney Houston’s music. When we played the acapella version of her song It’s Not Right (But It’s Okay) during our shows, we noticed everybody – including the younger generation – singing along with the lyrics. Timeless tracks are timeless for a reason! That’s why we figured this song would make for an excellent club track.”
On TikTok, the sound of ‘It’s Not Right (But It’s Ok)’ has already been used in over 10.000 user videos. The video announcing the song’s pre-save has reached almost 12.5 million views.

Often described as the Netherlands’ most striking DJ duo, Mr. Belt & Wezol combine retro with the new. In both their DJ sets as their discography you can expect sample-based house tracks, curated carefully to hit a sweet spot between the known and the unknown. Bart Riem and Sam van Wees broke onto the scene back in 2013 with their first single, Homeless, a house adaptation of Crystal Water’s Gypsy Woman. Since then, they’ve been touring the world at large, performing at a.o. ADE, Mysteryland, Tomorrowland (Belgium) and Ultra (South Korea).
On their recent signing with Sony Music Benelux, the duo add: “We couldn’t be more thrilled about the collaboration with Sony. The release of It’s Not Right (But It’s Ok) feels like the start of a brand new chapter. And there are so many more awesome things lined up this year: new label, new music, new us. We can’t wait to perform It’s Not Right (But It’s Ok) live!”
